I believe that there are fundamental changes to our economy that are occurring behind the haze of our current fiscal environment.   Conducting our economic development activities as if this is simply another economic cycle will be a recipe for failure.  The CREDC will take a comprehensive look at its strategic plan for countywide economic development this summer with the goal of adopting a new plan this fall. 

This process will deeply involve our investors and partners.  A series of focus groups will start in July to identify foundation trends for the next economy.  The process will culminate in a Board retreat in October.

All investors will be involved in this planning process.  I sincerely urge and look forward to your participation.
