Future Leaders Project Seeks WSU Vancouver Students for Summer Internships (Deadline: March 31)

 

The Future Leaders Project (FLP) seeks WSU Vancouver students (juniors and seniors) from historically underrepresented communities who want to build on their leadership and professional experience and bring a more diverse perspective to the local business community. Applications are due on March 31, 2021.

FLP is an initiative of the Columbia River Economic Development Council, Workforce Southwest Washington and WSU Vancouver that seeks to connect students from historically underrepresented communities with Clark County employers and provide them with tools to thrive as they prepare to enter the workforce. Selected students will benefit from:

  • A $3,000 (stipend) paid summer internship at a Clark County business

  • Approximately 20 hours of work per week during summer 2021

  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities during fall (2021) and spring (2022) semesters

Internships are available with Columbia Bank, Gravitate, PointNorth Consulting, TwinStar, Workforce Southwest Washington and others. These businesses are looking for interns interested in communication, finance, accounting, business operations, human resources, marketing, mechanical engineering and more. El “Future Leaders Project” es una iniciativa de desarrollo de CREDC, WSW y WSU Vancouver, la cual presenta oportunidades para estudiantes que cursan su tercer y cuarto año en la universidad estatal de Washington en Vancouver (WSU Vancouver). El programa ofrece un puesto estudiantil pagado. El puesto será temporal de 20 horas a la semana por tres meses durante el verano 2021 para obtener experiencia laboral en el programa de estudio del estudiante. Habrá hasta 10 puestos disponibles este verano. Los estudiantes elegidos recibirán $3,000 y oportunidades para expandir sus redes profesionales.

La solicitud está disponible ahora y la fecha límite para entregar la solicitud es el 31 de marzo.
